On site where it matters, remote where it does not
Jeddah and the wider Makkah region I can reach in person — access reviews, server rooms, handover sessions and anything that needs a face. Riyadh, Dammam, Al Khobar and Madinah are worked remotely, with travel when a piece of the engagement genuinely calls for it.
Cloud, billed and located sensibly
AWS and Azure both run regions in the Kingdom, and where a workload should sit is a question with real answers — latency, data residency, and what the bill looks like in SAR at the end of the month. One confidential audit here removed SAR 3,500 a month of spend that mapped to nothing running.
English and Malayalam, and enough Arabic to be polite
Documentation, runbooks and handover are written in English. Day-to-day I work in English and Malayalam, and I am straightforward about needing Arabic support for anything contractual rather than pretending otherwise.
